Hi, I am Aya, a final-year pharmacy student at Hoshi University.

I would like to share about the 4th English Dojo, which took place on May 29 from 1 p.m to 2 p.m (JST).

First of all, after our self-introduction, we enjoyed a game called “Never have I ever” to break the ice.

Although this game is generally a drinking game, we did it without drinking alcohol this time. Once the game brought us closer and made us feel more relaxed because of ingenious questions, we split into two small groups for discussion.

Today’s topic is below:

– What habits do you want to keep or abandon?

When it comes to this question, not only I but others seemed to be struggling with staying up late watching videos on YouTube. And all members have watched the videos on YouTube by Dr. Kitahara who is our leader, which made me impressed. The cool doctor answers your medical questions in short videos, if you have not seen it, please check it out!

Speaking of habits, one participant recommended us the book “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” written by Stephen R. Covey. I had never heard of this book, but I already understand the importance of having habits, so I will give it a try.

Although we had other topics as well, time flew by so fast and we wrapped up after talking about just one topic, which shows that we had a great conversation.

And one more thing, we are currently looking for participants! This session is to improve your English skills regardless of the levels. If you feel that talking about medicine is an uphill struggle, this program is exactly for you. We welcome your participation.

The next session will be held on June 26. Have a nice month, stay tuned, and see you on the next blog. Bye!
