みなさん、こんにちは！今年度チームWADAでTシャツ係を務めます、防衛医科大学校医学科4年の笹井香苗(ささいかなえ)と申します。

私は広島県出身で、中学高校はインターナショナル系の学校に通っていました。国語以外の授業が英語で行われる日々や、中学2年生でカナダのバンクーバーに留学したことがきっかけで英語の勉強がとても好きになり、将来は国内外で活躍することを志すようになりました。

現在在籍している防衛医科大学校では、厳しい規律の中日々仲間たちと集団生活を送っています。普通の大学生のようにバイトしたり、平日外に出て遊ぶことはできませんが、、、。

今ではそのような生活にも慣れてのびのび楽しく過ごしています。

そんな私がチームWADAの学生メンバーに入会したのは、去年の11月ごろのことです。

時間的精神的余裕が出てきて、自分が志してきた国内外での活躍という目標に一歩踏み出したい、閉鎖的な環境の中でも他の大学の人との関わりが欲しい、と思ったことがきっかけです。

以来さまざまな企画に参加させていただきました。

学校では習うことのできないような医療面接の知識や医学知識を習得できただけでなく、自分と同じような目標を持っていて、その目標に自分よりももっと近い位置にいる人たちと知りあいになったことは大きな刺激となりました。チームWADAに入る時は同じ学校の人も知り合いもおらずとても勇気が要りましたが、今では一歩踏み出して本当に良かったと思っています。

そんなチームWADAにコアメンバーとして運営に携わる機会をいただけてとても光栄に思います。私がこのコミュニティに刺激を受けたように、チームWADAに在籍する皆様が少しでも自分の目標に向けて一歩近づける場所にし続けられるように努力します！

チームWADAは基本的にオンラインでの交流が多いため、多忙な方でも比較的自分の都合に合わせて企画に参加しやすいと思います。平日に外出できず時間に制約のある私でも、学生メンバーとしてほとんど問題なく活動できています。時代に感謝ですね笑

なので、忙しい方でも大歓迎です！！

ただ！！私はTシャツ係の裏でオフライン交流隊長にも任命されています。普段オフラインでしか交流できない仲間と対面でお話しする機会も今後、作っていく予定です。お酒でも酌み交わしながら自分の将来やそれぞれの学校生活について皆さまと熱く語り合えたらと思います！！

Hello everyone!

My name is Kanae Sasai, a fourth-year medical student at the National Defense Medical College, and I will be responsible for the T-shirt committee for Team WADA this year.

I am from Hiroshima Prefecture and attended an international school during my middle and high school years. The experience of having all classes conducted in English and studying abroad in Vancouver during my second year of junior high school has made me interested in working in both Japan and foreign countries.

In National Defense Medical College, I live with my fellow classmates under strict regulations. Unlike typical university students, I can’t work part-time or go out to have fun on weekdays… However, I have adapted to this lifestyle and am enjoying my time here happily.

I joined Team WADA around November last year.

I wanted to take the first step towards my goal working both nationally and internationally. I also desired connections with people from other universities and to know about each other.

Since then, I have participated in various projects in Team WADA. I have not only gained knowledge about medical interviews and medical knowledge that are not taught at school but have also met others who share similar aspirations. Some members are much closer to their goals,and they made me feel motivated. Even though it took a lot of courage to join Team WADA without knowing anyone, I can honestly say that taking that step was worthwhile.

I feel very honored to have the opportunity to be involved as a core member in the operation of Team WADA. Just as I was inspired by this community,

I will strive to ensure that Team WADA continues to be a place where all members can take steps closer to their goals.

Since most projects in Team WADA primarily are taken place online, it is relatively easy for busy individuals to participate in activities according to their own schedules. Even with my limitations on my lifestyles, I have been able to engage in activities as a student member. I am grateful for the development of network services…

So, don’t worry too much if you’re busy!!

However, I also have been appointed as the offline interaction leader behind the T-shirt committee.

I plan to make more opportunities for face-to-face discussions with members who can only interact offline. I would love to share a drink and passionately talk about our futures and school lives together!

Finally, I will do my best to support Team WADA’s activities as a core member for the entire year!
