English Follows Japanese

定時手術やら移植やら事務作業やら引っ越し準備やら論文やら….割合忙しくて前回投稿から時間が経ってしまい申し訳ありません。前回触れたACLSの試験はスキルチェックと言うよりは口頭試問でした。最後おばちゃんに褒められましたが、自分の欠点が薬の発音が悪いlol つーか難しいということが判明しそれもまたよかったです。例えば”Adenosine””Amiodarone”とかスマホに喋らせてみてください案外むずい笑

さてそんな中このチームWadaを見てそれこそ卒業式以来会っていない慈恵医大の同級生が連絡をくれました。10年目前後になると色々な科で留学する人が増えるのでアメリカにいる同級生に声をかけてもらいZoomで同窓会をすることに。

近況報告から今やってる研究内容やあいつ今何してる的な話題まで多岐にわたり気づけば4時間以上話していました。めっちゃ楽しかったのでまたやりたいです。今回やった一人だけ日本からゲスト形式で同級生を呼ぶのはナイスアイデアだと思うので次回もこの形式でやれたら良いなと

そういや2人YouTuberデビューしてた、近く私も笑

Recently I’ve been tied up with elective/ urgent /transplant surgeries, hiring process of Columbia Univ. , preparing for moving to NY , study with new attending…. Omg these seem endless . So many things I have to do…

All these reasons make me difficult to update my Blog and sorry for my delay to mention ACLS course.

That was more like interview test rather than skill checkoff . During this course, I found out that the names of medications are really challenging for me to pronounce cuz these pronunciations are completely different from Japanese ones.

I hate to pronounce ” Adenosine” “Amiodarone” lol

Btw through this Blog, one of alumni who graduated from Jikei University at the same  year with me reached out me. We reunited and invited other alumni in the US with Zoom. That was really fun like we talk over 4hrs about nice/ silly our memories, updates of our lives/ research activities… topics never ended.  

We’re gonna unite again soon definitely.
